Our services

Proposals and agreements

Before we start paid work, we agree its scope, fees and timescales with you in writing, for example in a proposal, quote or agreement. If anything in that written agreement differs from these terms, the written agreement applies.

Free SEO audit

Our free SEO audit is a review of how your website appears in search, with our recommendations. There is no obligation to buy anything afterwards. The audit is based on the information and data available to us at the time and is not a guarantee of results.

Results

Search engines such as Google decide rankings using their own systems, which they change often and do not publish in full. Results also depend on your competitors, your market and things outside our control. For these reasons we cannot and do not guarantee any particular ranking, position, amount of traffic, number of enquiries or revenue. We will carry out the work we agree with you with reasonable care and skill, and we will report honestly on what we have done and what has changed.

We follow search engines’ published guidelines and do not use methods that put your website at risk.

What we need from you

To do our work, we may need information, content, decisions and access to your website and accounts. You agree to give us what we reasonably need in good time and to make sure that what you give us is accurate, that you have the right to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. We are not responsible for delays or results caused by missing or late information or access.

Third-party services

Our work often involves services run by other companies, such as Google, website hosts, domain registrars and WordPress or Webflow plugins. These are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, changes they make or their decisions, such as a change to Google’s algorithm or the suspension of an account by the provider.

Your website and content

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, once you have paid in full for a website or content we create for you, you own the finished work produced specifically for you. We keep ownership of our own tools, methods, templates and know-how. Third-party items such as themes, plugins, fonts and stock images are licensed to you on their owners’ terms.

Confidentiality

We keep your confidential business information private and only use it to carry out our work for you, unless the law requires us to disclose it. We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.
  • We are not liable for any loss of profits, sales, business, revenue, data or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • We are not liable for any loss caused by your use of, or reliance on, the information on this website.
  • Unless our written agreement with you says otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the services concerned in the 12 months before the claim arose.
  • If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your legal rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you use the website or ask us to work for you is the one that applies. Changes do not affect work already agreed in writing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, in which case you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
